Read about ways we're changing to operate sustainably | | | | | | | Sustainability & Social Responsibility | Future Matters | Fortnum's has been around for over 300 years and we're always looking for new and inventive ways to conduct our business in a way that is sustainable for all of us over the next 300.
Our recent Duke Street windows in Piccadilly tell the stories of just a few of them. Wave a fin at our splendid Window Whale, brought to life with some of the 140 tonnes of single use-plastic we removed from our business last year (and every year, forever). You can hear her echolocating all around the West End. | | | | | | | | | | Do You Take Plastic? | Not any more. All of our teabags are now plastic-free and completely compostable, while the tea itself acts as a great nitrogen-rich soil fertiliser after you've finished your cup. | | | | | | | Creating a Buzz | Most recently installed above The Royal Albert Hall, our rooftop hives around London help to protect both biodiversity and our beloved bee population in the UK. | | | | | | | A Positive Use for Food Waste | We’ve been very proud to support The Felix Project since 2016. The London-based charity saves high-quality food that cannot be sold and delivers it to charities that cook hot meals and prepare food parcels for vulnerable Londoners. | | | | | | | | | | | | | Wonderful Wickers | Hand-woven from willow, a naturally sustainable material that regrows once harvested, our wicker wonders make for wonderful coffee tables and bed-end trunks once you've devoured the contents. | | | | | #LongLoveFortnums | We love to see you reimagine our packaging in the most creative of ways. What will your next caddy, tin or hamper become? Share with us on social media, and become part of the Long Love #Fortnums campaign. | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the next email... | Our website has designed to bring even more of the exceptional service we are known for to our online customers. Discover some of convenient tools and features at your disposal, and then go forth and shop all the lovely things (in fact, there's nothing to stop you now should you wish to start immediately). | | | | | | | | | |
