When building out their newest and warmest winter jacket yet, Flint and Tinder combed through military archives in search of durable layers meant for serious cold weather. They unearthed an original N-3B parka, first developed in the ‘50s for U.S. flight crews stationed in frigid climates. Using the same burly blue prints, Flint and Tinder engineered their own version—upgrading it with a water-resistant waxed canvas and a plush, fleece lining for next-level insulation.
