Every single day of the year is Earth Day, but today we’re taking more time than usual to celebrate the planet we call home. Below is a rundown of friends, brands, and Huckberry ambassadors all doing their part to waste less and ensure a greener, wilder future. From wearing hemp clothing to taking regenerative agriculture tips into our own backyards, we couldn’t be prouder to work with such an inspiring crew.

The secret to softer, more durable clothing isn’t necessarily hidden in a futuristic lab somewhere. In fact, it grows pretty easily from the ground right under our feet. We’re talking about hemp—and our friends at Wellen have been longtime fans. In case the last few pairs you saw in the wild were too covered with mud to recognize, we’ll give you the rundown anyway. Baggies are the original hybrid shorts—and since 1982 their simple, do-it-all design is relatively unchanged. They’ve been worn everywhere from sunbathing in Antarctica to sailing around the world to cannonballing into your local swimming hole.
