Sun-Proof Seawool

Last year Wellen introduced a new fabric called Seawool: an innovative, technical yarn knit from upcycled oyster shells. And the master craftsmen at Grain Surfboards are handcrafting some of the best wooden surfboards along that far north coastline. Their Wood Paipo board mirrors traditional Hawaiian belly boards, or “paipos”, and is simply one of the most fun ways to catch a wave. They even got the extra special treatment with a custom design by their founder, Mike LaVecchia, and a hand painted graphic by Maine-based artist, Ty Williams.
