The free-thinking team at Vans designed their classic sneakers for charting new paths. But comfortably charting new paths through ankle-high mud, slush, or snow? That wasn’t exactly an option until right now. Introducing: the Ultrarange GORE-TEX MTE-3. Inspired by cold-water surfers who modified their own gear to get farther off the grid, they’re fully waterproof and insulated to carry you as far out there as you can trek. Vans have been pretty much everywhere since the ‘60s—but now the definition of everywhere just got a whole lot bigger.  

While Wellen breaks new ground on the sustainability front, they’re often inspired by coastal styles from the past. Like the kinds you’d see in vintage surf magazines, old-school travel guides, and family photo albums of road trips to the shore. Take the Longrider Easy Chino. With the durable corduroys worn by ‘70s-era surfers in mind, Wellen spun their own version in classic, wide-wale corduroy with elastic in the waist—for a comfy everyday pant with a natural sense of style.
